Semi-Cycle is the groove-driven, pan-genre inspired music written and produced by singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Kris Hansen.Though Semi-Cycle is the first listen into Hansen’s work as a solo artist, he currently is and has been a contributor/collaborator on projects with groups such as The Walters, Kweku Collins, Silas Short, and Probcause.

Having lived in Chicago for a decade and New Orleans for two years, the influence of Jazz, RnB, Hip-hop and Soul are undeniably present in Hansen’s writing. These elements ooze together with Indie, Drum & Bass, House, Lo-fi and other tangential sounds to form the sonic amalgamation that is Semi-Cycle.

The new single “KMCB” is scheduled to drop September 9th, followed later this fall by part 1 of the Semi-Cycle debut EP MOMENTUM. Together with long-time collaborators Inho Park, Benji Shefler, and Jackson Shepard, Semi-Cycle takes the stage as an organic fusion of live instrumentation and integrated electronic-based grooves.
